Dear Thatcher,

I have missed you these past 3 years. You really are such a great little town! If it weren't for your existence I wouldn't have met my amazing husband, some of my very best friends, had the time of my life my first two years in College, found my passion for video editing, learned how to live on my own, sent off a missionary (not saying that was the best part but still...), and the list could go on and on...

Love,
Stormy

So me and Spenser went to Thatcher a few weekends ago. I was SO excited to go! We weren't planning on going down there at all, it was a very last minute decision but it was a great one. Being spontaneous is fun..we had a great time! Driving down there was torture because I was just so excited to get there! When we got there the first place we went to was the institute...the minute I walked in I said, "it smells just like the Thatcher institute!" ...which to my nose is a heavenly smell. Nobody has to understand my love for that small town, but as the very wise Eastern Arizona Advisor said "Thatcher is the best kept secret" So true. And i'm glad to be in on that secret. After we went to the institute we just walked around the campus and loved our lives remembering all the good times we had there. We got to go to the open house for the new Gila Valley Temple which is just absolutely gorgeous! We got to reminisce (spell check please!) about old times...we played in the river...slept on the most uncomfortable fold out bed (but were so grateful to have a place to stay)...AND we looked at different options for places to live. That's right friends...me and Spenser are moving back. Not sure when yet, but in the very near future. We are both going to be starting school in August. He is going to get started at EA and I am going to be doing the NAU Education program through EA to get my bachelors. So it works out. At first I was having a hard time getting excited about the move because I absolutely love the job that I have up here, but after talking to my boss who was very nice and supportive about the whole thing, I am much more relieved because she is still going to let me work for her from a distance. So thats great news!!! Everything is ready to go we just have to get our living situation settled and we are going to be leaving. What a change, but we really feel like it's a good thing to do and the best thing for us right now. So...wish us luck!!
