4th of July!

I wrote this post right after the 4th of July and forgot to post it. So what the heck, better late than never...

So for the 4th of July weekend Spenser and I took a road trip up to St. Johns! It was such a fun weekend!! We did a lot, ate a lot, and just had a lot of fun!

We got up there Friday night and hung out with the fam...and then Saturday morning we all went to Show Low to see Toy Story 3. I loved it! There aren't very many animated movies that do well when they keep making more movies after the first...but Toy Story is definitely an exception! Spenser's little nephew Brody was there and he watched the entire thing and loved it! It was cute to look over and see him watching so intently. He is so funny, he is always making us laugh and saying the cutest things!

Saturday night we all went to Round Valley to see the Fireworks. I think they were definitely some of the best I have ever seen! They had all these cool shapes...like 3D cubes and smiley faces...just really cool ones! And they went on for quite awhile too..when they were over and everyone started clapping I was a bit disappointed with the Grand Finale...but it wasn't over and the Grand Finale was not disappointing at all! It was pretty fun! I hadn't been to fireworks in a few years, so it was fun to finally see them again!

Sunday we went to church, chilled, ate a great lunch that Spenser made...and watched a movie (well I fell asleep of course, I love my Sunday naps!) Then Sunday night we all hung out outside and made smores over the fire. The weather was SO amazing, it was so fun to just be able to hang out outside. It was perfect. And since it was so perfect me and Spenser decided to sleep on the trampoline! I love doing that! I used to sleep on the tramp all the time as a kid, it was fun to do it again!

On the way home we stopped in Show Low to see Knight and Day...because its way cheaper to go to a movie up there...so we didn't want to pass up a good opportunity! It was hilarious! I loved it!!

And then we stopped in Miami to eat at the Burger House...where we ate the most delicious green chile burros that I have ever had in my life. YUM! I can't wait to drive thru Miami again, because you better believe we will be stopping there again..and again...and probably even again. :)

The moral of the story. It was a great 4th of July weekend! :)
