Clink. Drip. Pssshhh.

When we did the walk through with our landlord we discovered some roots growing out of the drain in our bath tub. I wasn't very excited about that! My landlord came back with some drano and pull some stuff out and put some drano in it. Did it help? Not at all! It would not drain at all. Well because it was a Saturday she wasn't sure if she could get the plumber out that day...we weren't too excited about that because she knew we were coming and we couldn't understand why she didn't check everything out before we came. Well she got a hold of the plumber and he said he would come that night. He didn't. After a long day of moving all we wanted to do was shower! But we couldn't. We both got a little grumpy but then decided to just chill out and have fun, so we just layed on our bed and laughed at stupid things and just had a good ol' time! Sunday rolled around and we were showerless for church. So the sink was the next best thing...just enough to make us smell good and look good was all I cared about! The plumber came over while we were at church and did what he could but decided he would need to come back later in the week to really get the job done. So until Thursday we were able to shower but it drained extremely slow, so it was one of those showers where your standing in a foot of water. Long story short, he came and stayed for 8 hours and worked his butt off. He had to cut open the wall in our closet and replace a bunch of pipes and pull a ton of roots out and whatever else he did. Now it's perfect and it drains like a champ. It was pretty obnoxious for a little bit! We are glad its fixed! And it was kind of a blessing because Spenser ended up working with that plumber for a week and made some extra cash! The Lord works in mysterious ways! :)

So let me explain the title of my blog. Clink. Drip. Psssshhh. Those are the noises that are lovely apartment made the first night we were here. We were starting to think we got a pretty ghetto place. The fan kept going Clink Clink Clink Clink (but we needed it on because the AC was not working so great yet..thats another story, but it works good now :) ) and the bathtub was going Drip Drip Drip Drip..and then every couple minutes the toilet would really loudly say "pssssshhhhhh". We could have had a dance party with all of the noise! The bathtub stopped dripping after it was fixed...the fan magically stopped clinking (except for occasionally)...and the toilet still says psssshhh if we forgot to barely flush it after we really flush it. We still haven't got that fixed. But whatev.

It may sound ghetto but it's not. I am in love with our new apartment. It's so much bigger and brighter than our last apartment. Our last place was always so dark. And we have a big enough room that we can re-arrange our stuff if we want to! Everything is finally in it's place and I love it!! I have my computer right by the window so when I edit all day I don't feel completely closed off from the world. And we live by the road so I just watch people walk by and drive by...keeps me entertained. :)

I will post pics as soon as I get a chance!
