Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day! Today is one of those Holidays that has a lot of opinions involved. However, I am a firm believer that certain opinions change depending on the situation of love going on in your life. Am I right? A single person that is wishing and waiting for that perfect someone to love thinks Valentines day is stupid and unnecessary...but once they have that special person...maybe they L.O.V.E. love this day! I personally think this day is fun and totally necessary. I mean why not celebrate love? We celebrate life on our birthdays...we celebrate laughter on April Fools Day...it's only necessary to add the love. Live, Laugh, and Love people!

And now that I am older and so much wiser (haha!) I realize that this day doesn't only have to be about a crush, a boyfriend/girlfriend, a fiancee, or a spouse. It is simply about LOVE. Maybe you don't have a significant other as sexy and handsome as my husband (don't deny it) but I can guarantee that you have plenty of people in your life that you really love and appreciate. And that is what this day is about. It's a day to reach out to those people and tell them how you feel. It's a day to just feel blessed because of all the love you have in your life. We should do these things every day, but let's face it. We don't. We get so caught up in our schedules and our lives that we don't just sit back and recognize all of the great blessings we have.

I thought about this all day today and I am one LUCKY girl! I have an amazing family, an amazing husband, and amazing friends! What more could a girl want?

I wish I would have reached out to more people today and really let them know how much I love them, but to all of you that I love, and I hope you all know that I do, I LOVE YOU!

I heard a quote that I really liked the other day:

"I went out to find a friend, but could not find one there. I went out to be a friend and friends were everywhere!"

My goal is to be a better friend, because my friends mean a lot to me. And I hope they know that. But it is up to me to make sure that they do.
